Set aside one year of your life just for hunting. Here you will become a good hunter in one of the country's best areas for hunting.
100% Hunting
Do you want to live in the middle of one of the country's best hunting grounds? At Pasvik Folkehøgskole, the students hunt grouse, ptarmigan, foxes, ducks and muskrat around the school.
You will experience the best of Scandinavian hunting, whether it is the hunting big elk bulls or wild boar hunting in southern Sweden. If you don't have a hunting license yet, you can obtain it at the start of the school year. Over the course of the school year you will become a competent hunter and learn everything there's to know.
You will experience this:
Moose hunting in Tana
Wild boar- and deer hunting in Sweden
Winter hunting for hares on Sørøya
Grouse hunt in Pasvik
Ptarmigan hunting in forests, on plains and mountains
Hunting for bisam and ducks
Fox hunting on bait and lids
Hare hunting with dog
Lots of shooting with an instructor, both in the simulator and on the shooting range
Your teacher is an experienced competitive shooter and shooting instructor. The experience you gain here will benefit you throughout your hunting life. The year of 100% Hunting gives you knowledge, experience and skills when it comes to hunting, shooting, game knowledge and much more.
We place great emphasis on learning about game from mountains, forests and lakes. Taking care of the game also means becoming better acquainted with various food traditions, such as smoking and drying meat, and also the preparation of hides and furs.
At 100% Hunting, you get to hunt as much as you want. We hunt eight out of nine months and often start right from the school's door step. You do not need any prior knowledge, but should have a strong interest in hunting.
Some of our trips:
Moose hunting in Tana
At the start of the elk hunting season we go to Tana, an area well known for its many moose. Our record was 19 sightsings of moose in a single day. There are good chances for the class of shooting a moose, the biggest game there is in Norway.
Hare hunting on Sørøya
At the end of February we travel to Sørøya, an island with one of Norway's densest hare populations. Over the course of a week we usually have many chances to shoot hare with either shotgun or rifle. If the weather permits, we also try out deep sea fishing. Outside of Sørøya, there are very good opportunities to catch big cod with fishing rods.
Wild boar and deer hunting in Sweden
Sweden is a unique hunting location where you can experience many different forms of hunting and of exciting game species. During our week there we usually manage to shoot wild boars and deer.
Small game hunting in Pasvik
Øvre Pasvik offers adventurous small game hunting in primeval forests. Large birds, black grouse, hazel grouse, willow grouse and hares live side by side in this outpost of the Russian taiga.
Duck hunting along the Pasvik river
In Pasvik's species-rich wetlands, we use decoy ducks to attract ducks during the evening migration. We also go sneak hunting along the river bank by canoe and on foot. Here you get to see a lot of birds and learn about different species, shooting and hunting techniques in practice.
